Ed Goode

Director of Experiential Learning

Edmund Goode is the Director of Experiential Learning in the Pathways Center where he oversees the Pathways funding program, one-credit internship courses offered through the Center, and the Liberal Arts Edge program. Goode also assists with developing and launching new programs in the Center, including cohort-based internship and experiential-learning programs in the US and abroad.

Previously at Emory, he was an Associate Director in the Emory College Woodruff Scholars Program. He served as the primary advisor for academic, experiential-learning, and post-graduation planning, administered an application-based grants program for experiential learning, and directed an internship program called “Scholarship and Service” focused on inequality and social justice in the greater-Atlanta area.

Goode is a first-generation college student and Pell Grant recipient from Tacoma, Washington. He was elected to Phi Beta Kappa and graduated summa cum laude in English from Columbia College in New York City. Edmund earned his Masters and PhD degrees in English from Cornell University and was an assistant professor of English at Villanova University, teaching undergraduate, honors, and Masters courses in American literature and culture. He was also an instructor and SUMMIT Advisor at Agnes Scott College, as well as a securities regulator in Seattle.
